Injector Nozzle Deposits
At the heart of your engine lies the fuel injection system, reliant on injectors that work hard to produce an effective fuel spray in a very high temperature and high pressure environment.
Over time, deposits can build up in and around the nozzle holes of fuel injectors, impairing fuel spray and leading to inefficient combustion, power loss and increased fuel consumption.

IDIDS

All of these can be symptoms of hidden Internal Diesel Injector Deposits (IDID) which, if left unchecked, can have a serious impact on the performance of the fuel injection system and therefore, on engine reliability and driveability. Formulated with active ingredients
New Shell FuelSave Diesel combines five active ingredients:
- A deposit control additive to clean away injector nozzle deposits and internal diesel injector deposits (IDIDs) for a more efficient engine.
- A combustion improver for exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) deposit control, enabling reliable engine performance.
- A corrosion inhibitor to protect against fuel system corrosion, helping to reduce maintenance needs and the risk of breakdowns.
- An anti-foam agent to help suppress diesel foaming for easier refuelling and reduced risk of spillage.
- A dehazer for good water separation and easier housekeeping, to help reduce risk of filter plugging and microbial growth during fuel storage.
